Pasasha: A Passage to a Finding Your Next Art Piece

Pasasha, an attempt at phonetic spelling when pronouncing “passage” in Dutch, refers to the covered shopping centers in Den Haag where Johannus first started his gallery, Passage Kunsthandel, 1900. But what, exactly, does “passage” mean in the context of dealing fine art through digital platforms? We’re glad you asked.

Passage is defined as the act or process of moving through, under, over, or past something on the way from one place to another. With everything going on in the world right now, art has the power to lead us through, over and under all of the hurdles we face day to day. Art is our way through the passage to the other side.

Passage (n): the act or process of moving through, under, over, or past something on the way from one place to another.

But what’s more, is that Pasasha offers a unique relationship between curator and collector, acting as the actual passageway or conduit to spark inspiration wherever you may need it. Started generations ago, Pasasha art is excited to be working with artists in a digital world, bringing fine art to people all over the world through means of an online presence.

“This project comes at an interesting time for many industries, but I think now more than ever professional artists are open to new ways of marketing themselves and selling their artwork, while spending time with each artist to help grow their presence by acting as their personal representative.” Roxanne Plante, President of Pasasha Fine Art said. “Our goal is to be an honest broker between curator and collector, and we are excited to incorporate family history and legacy into our branding.”

With numerous events within the art community cancelled and with galleries closing or having limited hours, Pasasha saw an opportunity to showcase original artwork online, and the value it could provide to people across North America.

“Ultimately, we wanted to forge a new path, to make a way for people to access fine art in a safe and easy way,” Roxanne said. “We bring a whole new meaning to the term ‘fine art rep’.”

I am always striving to make a better painting. Recently I have been working on my M.F.A. Thesis exhibition. Today I will start the final two pieces. Blues and Orange. Two large scale circle paintings. I also have a few small commissions that I will create for collectors.
